Dr. Joe O’Garr is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who has been providing comprehensive psychiatric care in Massachusetts since 2010. He believes in a strength-based collaborative approach in identifying solutions for children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. O’Garr provides psychopharmacological management and psychotherapy as part of an overall treatment plan that includes maximizing one's own resilience in supporting recovery and symptom remission.  

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University in 1997, Dr. O’Garr spent 4 years working in the mental health field. He then went on to complete Medical School and both his General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residencies at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. O’Garr practiced at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates/Atrius Health in Wellesley, MA starting in 2010 and provided both direct patient care as well as in leadership roles. He then served as the Medical Director for the Boston Children's Hospital Community Based Acute Treatment Program for 2 years prior to joining LifeStance Health where he served as the Massachusetts Regional Medical Director. Dr. O'Garr is board-certified in both Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
